If this is supposed to be a plea not to cap malpractice insurance, then this case is not the appropriate headliner. A terrible mistake was made, for one thing and everybody acknowledges it. The girl was not a US citizen, the coverage was done for free - does this mean her family wants to sue in excess of 250K? Mistakes happen every day to really good people. Space shuttles blow up, people die in building collapses in earthquakes, any number of things. We have to get a handle on this and accept human error as a part of the process and not allow litigation to eclipse progress.
