I can personally report Kerry is back strong from surgery.
At one point though the mike went out, the tech guy took it and dropped it down some stairs. Kerry said "this is a good test for me". He bend way down to pick it up and winced with a laugh, holding his belly. Everyone laughed too. He told us "many of you are wondering how someone out of suergy can withstand the rigors of a campaign, well I saw Dick Cheney yesterday and he seemed fine". Bob Graham is actually the one who ought to be worried. Graham entered today and the most apparent effect will be weakening Lieberman. He was counting on Florida fundraisings. Kerry is the one guy who has no trouble raising money and even if he didn't he doesn't really need anyone else's money. Theresa Heinz Kerry was there last night, clearly in strong support of her husband. She's worth almost as much as Ross Perot and will write the big check when and if necessary. Dukakis also stopped in last night, I heard him telling reporters Kerry is the toughest campaigner he has ever met.
