other than nyc, paris is the only place on the planet you can get reliably excellent jazz. that alone is worth a top 5 ranking. -g-

add in the food and the sheer sense of it all and there really aren't many equals. before the handover i might've put hong kong as the other member of the top 3, haven't been there in a while though so i don't know what it's like these days.

london would be a contender but there's just too many wet brits running about. -bg-
