Robert,
If you think it is doubtful that Bob reads these threads, do you think that maybe Don Lane reads them? (oh, sorry, make that Mister Topes..)

in spite of their apparent disgust for him (Brinker), continue to listen to his show.

I do continue to listen to Brinker because he's still the best radio commentary focused on finances. As for his market timing skills I don't think he offers anything that will consistently lead to above average performance. It's become a little like driving by a gruesome accident, you know you shouldn't look but you do it anyway to fullfil that morbid curiosity. Besides that, I often listen to people that I disagree with because I already know what the smart ones think. <g>

The show, though, has become painfully dull to listen to. There was no better example of this than the lead-off call today. It was another in a boring series of calls from those who want Brinker to stare at his crystal ball and tell if the housing market in California will go through a slump. All Brinker could do was waste air time telling him, in the kindest way that boredom will allow, that his guess was as good as any.

For the rest of us trying to stay awake it was yet another example of "dumbing the show down". This is presumably being done to appeal to a new flock since loyalty left the ranks. I mean really, who else would succumb to Brinker's repeated pleas for $4.95/mo for his OnDemand service which only reiterates redundant repetitions.
