might invite an invasion by Iran
Later, maybe. Not while the US Army was there. And that could have been solved by a mutual defense treaty between Ira and the US or a US guarantee of Iraq's security.

Bush was afraid that killing Saddam would lead to anarchy in Iraq
Ah, the US made repeated attempts to kill Saddam during the war.

Also, we weren't authorized by the UN to do so.
So tell, them to sue us. BFD. We mostly fought that war. I doubt that our biggest helper, Britain, would have objected. And we can see now what the UN is worth.

Why his WMD are suddenly such a concern that we have to invade is another good question?
They have been ever since the war ended in that truce that has never been satisfied.

9/11 or no 9/11, WMD were a concern years ago, but now enough of a concern to invade?!?
Because Slick Willie was President? A leper among decent men? A man who couldn't understand what "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but he truth" means? A man without backbone?

I think there's an alterior motive at work here.
That's because you are determined to believe that.
