>> have you eaten anything with trans fats in the last 6 months? <<

well, there are some naturally occurring trans fats. as for the man-made variety, if i have, it was unwittingly. i haven't eaten fast food in the last 6 months. i can't recall the last time i went to a fast food restaurant. i read the labels on everything i eat, and if it has hydrogenated oils i simply won't eat it. it's possible that some restaurant slipped some poisonous hydrogenated vegetable oils in my food from time to time, but i'm pretty well aware of what kind of foods would be prepared with it and i make a point of avoiding those foods.

i haven't eaten margarine in years. i won't eat things with cool whip in it. i won't eat croutons at a restaurant because i don't know what they fried it in, etc. i almost never eat cookies but if during the holidays someone wants me to try one i won't eat it unless they can assure me they used real butter and not margarine.
