I'm in CA now. Gas is higher here than in other places. But even at $2 a gallon I don't think it is a bad deal. I regularly pay $15-$50 for a mere 750ml bottle of wine - indeed for cases of them. A $2 gallon of gas can take me 15 to 30 miles on average, depending upon what I am driving. That is quite a lot of work for a mere 2 bucks. (shrug)

If the cost of the war in Iraq is 100 billion, that is 1% of the GDP. Viet Nam was 12% of the GDP WW II was 130% of the GDP. A recent report stated that 2.5 to 3% of the GDP is in Legal liability costs. Put liability lawyers in concentration camps for 5 years and the economy will do wonderful.
