He's already on that list.

The question is, does that justify the US going to war without international support?

If you love your country, you want what is best for it. Some people feel that no matter how bad Saddam is, without international support the down side of removing him is simply too great. If we remove him with world opinion against us, he will become a martyr. Truth doesn't matter. Perception is everything. And the perception of teh folks in the ME must be that the removal of Saddam is justified. At this time that perception is not in place- due to the Bush administrations abysmal handling of foreign relations.

I doubt anyone here doubts Saddam is bad (but there are other very bad men out there- the massacres in Syria were pretty horrible, for example). The real problem is that the US cannot remove every very bad person, and if we are to be perceived as anything more than a whimsical bully, we had better remove people in OTHER countries, with the support of the UN.
