Bush Channels Neoconservative Vision Better than anyone else I'm acutely aware how ignorant I am of Arabic culture. I have made some preliminary attempts at rectifying that void. What is appalling, is the baseless fantasies that I hear emanating from the neo-cons about how the occupation will progress. Is there anyone in that PNAC group that has the least idea of what is in the Qur’an? Do the neo-cons have any concept of what they’re up against? They seem to have one corrupting goal – the drive for power. And like Sauron’s ring it obsess them. Completely blinding them to obstacles in their way, or the price to be paid in terms of America’s standing in the world.
