Compare it with Britain's own history and THEN you will see how this sticks out.

There's a first time for everything...

The next thing we'll be hearing is "More MPs voted against the PM than has occurred on any issue in (fill in number of years)..

It just means that British politics are more divided on some particular issues. And if anything, war is certainly divisive.. Because few people wish to engage in war naturally.

But some people understand that avoiding war at any cost now, may increase the loss of life later on.
