throw in a terrorist attack or two, high energy costs, and voila! you have recipe for economic destruction of the country...?? btw, if we were going to be "attacked" thru the markets, what would the route be? I'd assume the dollar would be heavily shorted to pressure it down. Can it be done against us? Like Soros did a few years back in Malaysia? Or can the gov't intervene to stop it? (currency trading is over my head so excuse me if I sound ignorant trying to write out what I am asking ;) With skyrocketing national debt, how can that be used against us? I suppose squeezing oil is another way.
