JC,
I have a son-in-law who is way left but he leads a rather ordinary life. He is passionate about politics and views US policy since WW2, but particularly recently as in contradiction to basic American ideals. So although he doesnt view me as a fascist, he considers me a dupe of the right. He voted for Nader in the last election and i have needled him often about his vote making the election of W possible. The real joke is that he rants about america allowing genocide to occur in ruanda for example but is opposed to a preemptive war in iraq. As far as i know, he does not do drugs. mike

The trouble is, the "wacco left" is nowhere near the corridors of power, where the PNAC crowd, with its grandiose schemes, is controlling things.

That particular f word is, of course, fairly common around here, but usually it is pointed in a different direction. He dryly notes.
