I just noticed this little contretemps. I thought it might help to note that in the adult- oriented "Asterix" comic books, such a phrase is used as a curt order by a Roman legionnaire talking to trainees, and is thus meant to be an order putting someone is his place.......

I gave dictionary quotes that say "se taire" is "to be quiet". You are wrong. Deal with it.
