A decent bottle of wine costs about $20 nowadays, nothing too fancy, perhaps $15 if bought by the case. It is almost impossible to get a Reserve Port for less than $40, and Vintage Ports have skyrocketed, especially if they are to drink rather than lay away (the rule of thumb is allow about a decade from bottling to decanting a vintage Port). In restaurants, the less expensive bottles of non- swill start at about $25......
