I am saying that the use of the filibuster for this purpose subverts the Constitutional separation of powers......and its no laughing matter.....

>>> But, this is a matter entirely within the constitutional authority of the Senate. They can filibuster for as long as they want to, and for any reason they want to (remember 'Mr. Smith Goes to Washington'), because that is how the Senate organized itself (remember: it was specifically designed to be a more deliberative body than the House of Representatives... it was designed to be a place where simple majorities could not so easily over-ride the wishes of minorities. This design was purposeful.)

>>> We have three 'co-equal' branches of government, you know.

>>> Their duties and responsibilities are constitutionally assigned.

>>> We do not live under a King... or a Royal family.

>>> Absolutely no one sees a constitution violation here... or it would be taken to the Courts for adjudication.
