The housing market has now started down. I'd like to see GDP numbers cutting out military spending. So if you're not in the defense business how bad is it really? I know very few people who are doing well since Bush took office. And most people have lost a large chunk of their retirement and college tuition savings. GDP doesn't account for those tremendous losses to soe 50% of Americans. Also the 4th quarter was before energy prices started spiking up. This quarter will be dismal.
