Hey, it's like a beehive. The individual bees may be nutty, but you have to go with the decision of the hive.

President? You will never have a wonkier one than Clinton. He certainly knew more. Perhaps he knew too much. Got into the "On the one hand" problem.

Bush and his extended team know as much about FP as any group that have been in their positions, IMO. You don't like a lot of what they do, and the way that they do it. To my mind, the State Department types that you may think are better have the wrong premises.

The arrogance and pushy attitude that you object to probably has a lot of it's basis in being on the "outs" for so long. They feel they were right, the "Cookie Pushers" got us into this mess by being too weak, and now it's their turn.
