Not my 'take', Ace... The Supreme Court's 'take'. (And, you'll notice that - despite the extremely partisan atmosphere in Washington - no one, I repeat: no one is filing any suits over the filibuster. Because they know they would get laughed out of court.) Anyway, the Republicans and Democrats are both lapping this stuff up: they love it ! It allows they to both throw red meat to their respective bases, and in the end a whole lot of Bush's other nominations will slip through unimpeded because so much time and political capital was expended on this one.
