About the protestors:
Almost everyone would most prefer to get on with their daily jobs and activities, stop worrying about job losses, look forward to a new car or trip, watch sports events etc.
The 9-11 event was not enough to galvanize and re-orient the entire nation and the memory is fading
If some one were to drop a dirty bomb in the Colorado river it would change thing considerably
No water in LA, no Disneyland, no Las Vegas activities The financial loss would be beyond measure.
Yet there is no single person I know that is doing anything at all to catch a Terrorist !
This is where the Government must step in and do the job and they have done that. Trying to prevent the next
terrorist event on behalf of our future despite a divided public. Setting up a Homeland Security division
Its one reason they were elected and given the powers to do that
What is Saddam doing with tons of anthrax ? Is he planning to destroy the horse or cattle business?
I doubt it - I assume it would be used on people, which would be a threat to the world.
Some college professors , with their tenured jobs, and their retirement benefits, all derived by living safely in this great country under the umbrella of our Defense establishment can expand their visual and verbal horizons
and demonstrate their influence by an impeccable use of words- thus confusing the real issues faced by the Administration who are doing the the job they were voted into office to do.
Change is not welcome. Change is scary. Most would welcome an opportunity to maintain the status quo
and take their chances that the Terrorists will not strike again , or at least not stike where they happen to live,
They prefer to believe that the Terrorist threats being received in greater numbers today are not real, that they are fakes, that the government is lying.
Our Government is trying to construct a virtual bomb-shelter over the entire country, and protestors who try to interfere with that accomplishment should be locked outside when we are next attacked

For one, I find it highly offensive and insulting and I wont stand for it.

It would appear you and your pomposity are irrelevant.
