Jacob,

CNBC says Russia says they will veto any SC resolution that authorizes war.

Putin is a poker player. Notice that the US/UK second resolution doesn't authorize war. He was speaking diplomateze but saying nothing.

I found the article someone posted yesterday, about the prevailing opinion among moderates in Egypt, to be very worrisome.

(Who posted that anyway...?)

Jacob,

I still stand by my projection that the Canadian proposal, in some form, will win the day. Everyone needs a compromise right now and the 6 uncommitted UNSC members are rallying around the Canadian ideas.
