Please, this excuse that Iraqis lead semi-normal lives at the moment is quite absurd. It's like saying Jews hiding in Europe, but not cuaght by Hitler, would have been opposed to WW2 because they would have feared an allied bomb would hit them.

How do you know what the Iraqis want? They certainly don't have the ability to speak for themselves. What if one of your family members had been tortured by Saddam's goon squad? It is commonly said that everyone in Iraq knows someone who "suddenly disappeared". I doubt that any doves, or hawks for that matter, have a clue what it is like living under Hussein. I would bet that many Iraqis would tolerate a war to be rid of him for a better future.
