I don't know if any of you have been noticing, but property REITs have been announcing dividend increases and then doing moonshot follow-ups.

even mortgage REITs seem to be immune. Last night NLY announced a dividend of 60 cents, 8 cents lower than last quarter. that lowered the yield to 13%+ which is low for a mortgage REIT. on top of that they announced that continued high refinancings would likely hurt future results. nevertheless, today NLY is up 37 cents to $18.22
