Just scrambles the "bias" issue completely out of recognition. I don't argue that the Times is unbiased. I argue that, thankfully, it considers itself at the intersection of two items. The first is the inevitable human fact, that effects individuals and institutions, which is that we are all culturally and epistemologically located. Thus, we see and experience from specific space-time locations, just to get a bit jargonish. The Times is so located. But the other item is their conviction, bless them, that there is such a thing is a journalistic code of ethics to get the story right. Not slant it for ideological reasons. Unlike the Washington Time and their ilk. Love that word "ilk." Has just the right sneer in it.
