South Florida First to Have New 'Metro Plan' From Cingular Wireless Where Incoming Calls Are Free

BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Launching the most unique calling promotion to hit the region, Cingular Wireless is now offering exclusively to its customers in South Florida -- from Vero Beach to Key West -- the ability to receive calls without being charged. Starting March 2nd and for a limited time, this unique promotion is available only through South Florida's new "Metro Plan" with packages starting as low as $49.99 which include 400 minutes.

With the new Metro Plan, the caller's package minutes are used -- but not those of the Cingular Wireless customer receiving the call. Not only do customers receive free unlimited incoming calls within the local calling area, but they also can have the newest multi-network phones that can utilize GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) network technology.

In addition, Cingular customers who take advantage of this exclusive offer also have the ability to add on the Unlimited Mobile-2-Mobile feature for $9.99 for calls to other Cingular customers within the local area.

"This exclusive Metro Plan with the free incoming call offer is not something you typically find in the U.S. but is what our customers in South Florida have been asking for. It is the next major step in the evolution of the types of services we can offer our consumers," states Rich Guidotti, Vice President and General Manager, Cingular Wireless South Florida. "Each one of our customers has unique calling needs and this plan provides those customers with yet another choice -- so they can find the plan that fits them best."
