Ted, <And stop with the courage trash......> You are getting way too confrontational. I said that "declaring peace" would have taken a bigger measure of courage than waging war in Iraq. You're right......I misread what you wrote. My apologies! Unfortunately, most people who want to "declare peace" do so out of denial or cowardice than courage and convinction. I may be wrong but I don't think Chirac and Schroeder are seeking peace out of denial, greed, politics or some other inappropriate reason. I would feel more comfortable if that were, in fact, true. I think their motivation is much more complicated than that. And there is something to why people see Bush as evil; why people have been dismissed over that issue. I don't believe a person who causes such divisiveness among us and our allies can be a white knight...a hero. And I suspect the people behind him are people like Eagleberger.......a crusty old fart who lives and dies by the sword. He's had his day......he should stay done. ted
