Bush's own statements, his inconsistencies Like what inconsistencies? war would mean certain deaths for so many innocents, both Iraqi and American; There's no way to guarantee innocent people won't die in war. This line of argument would mean never ever using military force. Personally I reject pacifism. the risk of widening the war You've already mentioned your worries about Iran and Syria. Sounds baseless to me. For those who worry about Iran and Syria attacking us, I guess for you that's a reason. and increasing levels of hatred and terrorism against the United States. I think the people who hate us and want to commit terrorism against us will hate us and want to commit terrorism against regardless of what we do in Iraq.
