Perhaps for you the discussions here are trivial and irrelevant, but speaking for myself I derive a great deal of use from them, and dislike seeing them deteriorate. Oh, I completely agree with that sentiment or I wouldn't be so active. I learn a lot both from the readings that get posted and from the arguments, most from trying to defend arguments. But we should not pretend that our posting to one another matters beyond our posting to one another, at least not to the extent that we go off the deep end. Incidentally, you have a post about Sen which I will get back to. I'm on my way out the door to explore the streets of Newark in seach of Penn Station. I'll get back to your question later this afternoon. I will have to find the quote you see and put it in context before responding.
