Hmmmmm. Wonder what's going to happen to your Turkish t-bills now?

I actually closed my t-bill position in Turkey with 12.5% profit in 35 days.

However, I still have a forward USD/TRL position due in about five months that could suffer pretty bad if Turkey falls into financial difficulty when no financial aid comes from the US, if they follow through with not permitting US troops in Turkish bases.

So you might still have your chance to laugh and dance in joy at my misfortune yet. Meanwhile, continue plucking wings off flies, or whatever you normally do to have fun with others' suffering :-)

the same bill that was submitted, the one that took weeks to negotiate, cannot be submitted again.

Your understanding is quite incomplete. They can change it one little bit and resubmit it as a different bill.

In fact, AKP is talking about a new bill already. The parliament reconvenes on Tuesday, but I doubt if there will be a new bill just then.

They will probably wait until a decision comes out of the UN, so they can legitimize permitting US troops to attack Iraq from Turkish bases.

In any way, the situation will be clearer in a week or so...
