interesting Asset Bubble forum... new era, last stage game
CPI doesnt and never did measure the stock price inflation
now it doesnt measure the bond and mortgage price inflation
this is all very much outside the purview of Central Bankers

but asset prices and their bust now have a huge effect on the entire economy and growth prospects

I call the asset bubble bust a critical symptom of last stages for the Keynesian Monetarist game
combine this strong effect with the incredibly indebted landscape and you have the ingredient for

ENDLESS RECESSION
which, with proper shocks and continued fallacious govt policy, THE MAKINGS FOR A DEPRESSION

what are fallacious policies?
hyper-extension of additional credit and money creation

we are seeing outofcontrol credit in the mortgage sector and to some extent the consumer spending area

we are seeing outofcontrol money creation at the FED

so we are first (without question) to enter into a recession
the energy price shocks will gaurantee it
continued shocks will only make it worse

mainstream economists still dont get it
