["Why shouldn't he have attacked Israel?"]

...that's so duplicitous, it's not worthy of a response.

[" They were encouraging the war and hosting American bases there who were supporting the attack on Iraq and had attacked Iraq previously in 1981 when they destroyed, without provocation, the nuclear facility he was building at Osirak."]

Without provocation ? - Puh-leeze ~

He was building a facility to produce a nuclear bomb, was on record for threatening to use it on Israel as soon as it was developed. And there was also more than enough intelligence information (now public) on Gerald Bull's "Super Gun" project being done for Saddam & it's intended use against Israel.

We have Israel to thank today...that on Sept 11th, we didn't have 4 Nuclear Weapons detonated in 4 Major Metropolitan Cities, instead of merely 4 hi-jacked airliners.

...Terry, are you an American citizen ? If not, then your comments are at least understandable.

If you are...I'm not a licensed psychiatrist; but there is this very complex, self-loathing, apologist, mis-paced guilt complex that so many Americans have...that I just don't understand and have given up trying.

But curiously; for some reason - it's usually of a duplicitous, hypocritical nature.

Take Nancy Pelossi the Democratic Leader of the House...she was one of the leading voices and one of the infamous Demo's seen wagging their finger in our face - decrying how our love for SUV's et al - was the root of all evil and how that abuse of oil has now led to this War, how WE need to change OUR views toward the use of Oil....even though SHE OWNS & DRIVES A FULL SIZE SUV HERSELF !

- when Nancy-hypocrite-Pelossi starts riding a bicycle to work and starts heating & cooling her house with solar panels...then I'll listen.

- a bigger hypocrite & more duplicitous voice could not be found...unless you start with the Kennedy Klan.

- recently Congressman Patrick Kennedy appeared on the Sean Hannity show - debating Hannity on Energy, the abuse of Oil & Gasoline by the average American...how SUV's were the root of all evil yada, yada, yada - same ole talking points.... and at the end of his appearance on the Hannity Show - Congressman Patrick Kennedy flew out of New York on the Private Jet he arrived on - using more fuel than 30 SUV's...showing once again, the essence of Liberalism; that of course those laws, regulations, taxes and behaviorial infringements upon our freedom are for US - not for THEM.

- Patrick is almost as bad as Uncle Ted...I had to laugh when years back after Ted Kennedy gave an impassioned anti-gun speech; one of his private security guards set off an alarm-system while toting an Uzi under his suitcoat.

- guns are bad if WE have them, but guns are good when they are guarding Chappaquidick-Ted...even when safely ensconsed behind his walled, security compound.

Thankfully; President Bush realizes he does not need, nor would he ever get...full support from either the UN, the Global Community, or even the American Public.

Unlike the sociopath-serial rapist that formerly occupied the Oval Office; GW Bush isn't acting upon the latest focus group, or opinion poll results.

He is acting upon a Moral Compass that has been part & parcel of America leading the world in fighting Evil and making the world a safer place for everyone.

We are feeding every child in North Korea under the age of 12.

We fed the Somali's before and after Blackhawk down.

We acted, while neighboring Europe napped, in removing Milosovic from power.

We rebuilt Nazi Germany into one of the great modern Economic Powers.

We feed, educate, defend & otherwise assit more people in more countries all over the world - including our staunchest enemies; than all of the other countries of the world combined...and we will once again, rise to the occassion to fight Evil while others stand idly by...

And that leadership should foster pride, not apologies.

The one thing that’s missing from all of your “sources” is a credible source… you know, something like Reuters, Associated Press, NBC, ABC, CBS or FOX.

The internet is awash with non-credible sources of information. They have no reputation to protect, so they print anything they want. If they get caught and sued they just close up their web site and open another one later.

As a result of accepting these sources, you have some accurate information like the WWII pending oil embargo on Japan to the totally non-credible assertion that US forces set fire to the oil fields in the Gulf War.

Let me ask you why no major news service picked up on the story that US forces set fire to the oil fields? It would have been a news coup for the first one to break the story. But they didn’t. They didn’t because they would have lost all credibility if they did so.

TR>Also subsequent investigation by the CIA found that the gassing deaths were more likely to have been caused by the Iranians and not the Iraqi's as detailed in the Federation of American Scientists report:

......... Blood agents were allegedly responsible for the most
infamous use of chemicals in the war—the killing of Kurds at
Halabjah. Since the Iraqis have no history of using these two
agents-and the Iranians do-we conclude that the Iranians
perpetrated this attack. It is also worth noting that lethal
concentrations of cyanogen are difficult to obtain over an area
target, thus the reports of 5,000 Kurds dead in Halabjah are
suspect.<<<

So what are your thoughts about the pictures of the gas victims that were published by the Minneapolis Star Tribune Sunday?
