Wonderful stuff. I love both the 55 and the 81 for very different reasons. And having them packaged together was special. Have you listened to the third disc? I've strayed to other stuff and haven't heard it yet.

I just took a breather, and played the first set of Glenn Gould's Goldberg Variations, circa 1955, which is very manic

saw, and bought, it yesterday--manic isn't the half of it. I'm used to my old LP clavier version and this is very different. I've listened to Gould twice now and he is starting to grow on me. Kind of wish I had bought the more recent version though...

My wife does not like it. She describes the fast selections (and those in Bach's 'Inventions' too) as feeling like a rat running up and down her back... :o)
