Clinton inherited Iraq from Bush Sr., kept them in a box for eight years. Think about it before you make an ignorant criticism. Peace is better than war any day. War is nasty. Lots of innocents die and Saddam blows up oil-fields and pollutes the entire area.

Now, it is possible that Saddam finally realizes that the only way he can beat Bush in this game is to actually destroy all ins big weapons? Which he may do, instead of giving up billions and his life. He might even get sanctions lifted if he goes far enough and apologizes to the world. Bush should have just attacked back in August and seizxed the oilfields. It's what he wants anyway, so why not be honest in his intentions? Reagan was always gung-ho about surprise attacks. If you are going to attack it should be a surprise not announced for months beforehand. By now they have the whole country booby-trapped.

I just dont like Bush's handling of this whole Iraq thing. It was ill-conceived, inflammatory and divisive. And it probably will not succeed. meanwhile our economy has suffered for 2+ years, partly becuse of this Iraq boondoggle. And how can we attack safely without Turkey? Or buy Turkey for 26 billion? That's even crazier. Bushies have gone nuts over Iraq, lt's face it. They're not even that big a threat.
