I hope that you realize this. >> If I believed for a second that you had really thought this comment through I would be interested in your explanation. Since you fly by the seat of your pants and haven't any more depth than the thought that nothing is worth fighting for, your comments aren't really worth the bandwidth. If you do not understand that we are already at war, then it is you who are naive. For years our embassies have been bombed, our planes blown out of the sky, our ships attacked, our tourists killed and most recently the twin towers were attacked, not once but twice, before being destroyed along with thousands of innocent people. The only question remaining is whether we have the will to fight our enemies or to wait as they continue to weaken our resolve through the insidious fear brought about by wondering where and when the next attack will come from. Those who have paid little attention to events have somehow deluded themselves that America is instigating war with Iraq. Nothing could be further from the truth. War is here and the only question is where it will be fought. Our President is trying to take the initiative. Well meaning, but thoroughly confused people such as yourself would have him back down and let the war come to us. Believe me, if he were to back down, that's exactly what would happen. As I said once before, no one who has experienced war takes any pleasure in it. But peace at all cost is a fleeting thought with no substance and no hope. King Arthur's poignant response when offered peace under the guise of tyranny, "there is some peace that can only be found at the other side of war". When men will no longer stand up to tyrants, then those who have cried for peace, will soon beg for mercy.
