Which skippers? Alinghi's or Team NZ? :-) Jay, before, when the going was good, Switzerland didn't have to make public relations stunts. Now that the country is being shocked "...by corporate casualties ranging from the collapse of Swissair, the country's national airline, to losses at former pillars of the business establishment such as Roche, Swiss Life and Credit Suisse...' they morale boosting. Hence the challenge for America's Cup. The country need something to show itself under a positive light. It is like Siemens in the floor and then BusinessWeek do a cover article for them and people start thinking there is still value in the company. But we know the real state, don't we?
