<If he fails to produce the WMD, he's non-compliant and can't be trusted> A careful reading of U.S. policy statements, like the speech to the AEI, should make it clear this war on Iraq is not about WMD or inspections. Those are just the proximate excuse, the politically acceptable "cover story". This war is about knocking over the first Domino, so we can do to the Middle East, what we did in Germany and Japan after WW2. The goals are far, far more ambitious than ending one nation's WMD program.
