Saddam, horrible as he is to his own people, was never much a a problem for us- until we chose to symbolically make him one. I'd call that our mistake, not his. Excellent points.

Here's a good question!

If OBL were captured, would Bush still feel compelled to invade Iraq? Perhaps this word should be spread throughout the Muslim world as a means of avoiding a war on Iraq.

I'd certainly agree that it would depend on who replaces Saddam. Its hard to imagine it could be someone worse but like you...I can't tell the future
