What you say is true. I don't like it when people wear their religion on their sleeve. In most cases it makes me not trust them.

The criticism is not of the religion, but of it's application to the secular state. I think we need to make that clear.

Of course in a free country with free speech, you may mock a man's religion. Freedom of religion only means the government shall not prohibit free exercise, it doesn't say that your neighbors may not laugh at you for dancing naked in your backyard when observing the summer solstice.
