For somebody that never traded in commodities before, do any of you have any advise on what broker would be best to use?

There's a bunch of little on line outfits these days, but I would stick with one of the big boys. I use Lind-Waldock - a division of Refco - which is the largest. Be careful, lots of times lower commissions are wiped out by other fees that are higher. Also be VERY CAREFUL about trading commodities, the small trader is often at a severe disadvantage. Most new accounts are wiped out before very long.
