Losing Turkey makes this war hard to defend as "quick and easy". It wont be now. Losing Turkey will probably means thousands more Americans will die. Expect public opinion to reflect that and Bush to move toward war at his own risk. Many are now wondering whether this war was such a sane idea after all.
