FWIW If you believe cpn will still exist in 2005 you can sell 2.5 puts for 1.55. Margin is only 20% or 60 cents per put. Total margin is .6 plus 1.55. If stock goes to 3.5 the margin would probably be about 1.2 plus .35, ie zero margin considering you already have 1.55 in hand. If stock falls you buy for 95 cents(2.5 -1.55). Risk is bankruptcy and reward is extremely high annualized return.
