Thomas, Why would the news unions do that? You would think that they would be able to get the truth out. The truth is unions are needed in some situations and not in others. The truth is unions are just another cost of doing business and many many companies have been ruined by foolish management who gave in too often and too much. Unions bargain hard....so should management and take a long strike to keep a wage balaance. Do I have any sympathy for UAW workers striking for $30/hour? Not a drop. I do however feel that the low end needs to be ratcheted up. The big problem is the major unions do not want most other workers to make the same as they do. Then their comparative advantage would go away. All they want to do is wreck Mexican jobs by trying to make Mexicans get USA wages. At which point there would be zero US imports of mex made cars and parts. Never, ever make the mistake of thinking that unions have the good of Mexicans workers at heart. They want all those mexicans out of work. Bill
