Yep your right of course. The food stamp program is a great example. 90 cents on the dollar goes to the bureaucracy while the salvation army takes only 10 cents.

Another great example is the social worker and their clients. Which do you think costs more. The army of social workers or the Church.

I bet your a non-producing member of society that needs the right wingers to go out and produce so that you can redistribute the wealth.

See your problem is your either a dupe or just an ignorant moron with a good heart. Yasar Arafat is enormously wealthy as are many of the third world tyrants. You see we were taxed to send money there to help the poor and hungry but the money never got there did it? You see this is your problem you just can't get it through your clouded probably drug induced mind that government doesn't redistribute to the poor. It takes most of it for itself. Why do you think politicians are willing to spend millions of their own wealth to get salaries of 75k? The perks the under the table perks I bet that every loan to the third world probably results in deposits to Swiss bank accounts for corrupt politicians

GM you said: " I think that as a society we have an obligation to help those in need. Much of that work can be done most effectively by social action on the part of our government."

Indeed? You have plenty of evidence in recent history on how this has been accomplished by way of example, your words were first used in n korea by thousands of socialist idealogues back in the 30's and 40's, today kim il has a 1 million man army and 20 million starving people with gulags strung throughout norther n korea.

Kim il could use your compassion and possibly your experience to show him how it should be done.

"I think that as a society we have an obligation to help those in need. Much of that work can be done most effectively by social action on the part of our government. " stalin used these very thoughts modified albeit by a distinctly russian perspective but none the less the exact same message, now your words are in action in socialist iraq where saddam doles out food or death to anyone his whims desire. In a recent interview saddam stated that he alone was stalins inheritance and history would conclude his greatness...but only if the words of people like gerard mangiardi become reality.

Duly noted are the human shields who left iraq this weekend, have you gotten a ticket to take at least one of their places? Not too late...travelocity.com can probably get you in under the wire.

gerard does it bother you that saddam is the only thing standing between socialist survival and the dust bin of history? Without saddams money you couldnt post here, his $ is behind everything on the left that keeps it alive.

socialism in action, the record is clear and it always begins with the words; " I think that as a society we have an obligation to help those in need. Much of that work can be done most effectively by social action on the part of our government."

GM your biggest error is betrayed in your first words "I Think" being the operative error in your presentation. You do not think, thats why your mind is where it is, your just another intellect stalled on another dead end.
