David Re..The administration has been clear that they don't anticipate any of the exiled factions to be taking control of Iraq after the war; I don't believe we'll see some external interim president (as in Afghanistan). Could be wrong, but I don't think so. That is not what I said. I said that it is likely the differing factions would likely, under the US auspices, chose a person agreeable to all factions, such as Karzai was in Afghanistan, as interim gov., who will set up basic laws, governing bodies, and elections for appointing a new president in about 2 yrs.
