You mean like the consistency in "Turn the other cheek" and "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth"?

The "ruthless killing and plunder" in the Quran is limited to parts when it talks about enemies of the God and Muslims, if I recall correctly.

Let us face it, these books were written by human beings for humanity of thousands of years ago. They are inconsistent. They are stagnant. Of course there is no consistent message. Not one that makes sense to us anyway...
