Hi Tutor,
Like you, I like Candente for management's clear know-how and the stock's sheer leverage. (21 million shares out, 49 cents u.s. per share, for only $11 million u.s. in market cap coupled with a load of hot gold properties in Peru and Newfoundland.)

Lately, I am further encouraged by the sophisticated and well-heeled company that they have attracted in the last few weeks -- ie, AngloGold in Peru and GoldCorp in Newfoundland. I mean, if you're gonna throw a party, who you gonna invite?

Thank you for posting the Resource World article here. I felt like it added further to my sense of what Candente is.

By asking you an open-ended question, <<What other companies are Candente-like?>> I have already learned from you just by your list of possible ways of answering!

Re your possible focus in response, shall we start with the intriguing item, <<Catherine McLeod's short list of "approved" explo geologists>>???

What is this? Sounds like a valuable intellectual property. Where do I get it?

Then, <<Botwood players.>> Let's see, I think Rubicon Minerals is one, right? For some reason I haven't gotten as excited about that one so far as about Candente. Maybe Candente is just better at conveying its story?

Are there any players with Candente's credentials and its apparent access to drilling money that have anywhere near as interesting a portfolio there in Newfoundland? I guess that my main question.

P.S., I am thinking of buying your garage sale prospecting book, "Thrift Store Prospecting -above ground discovery/recovery of gold." I go to garage sales a lot anyway but have always thought the jewelry was hopeless junk except for the signed vintage costume stuff. Apparently not, based on intriguing stories I found on your site, members.aol.com
