I must confess that I find both Gauloises and Gitanes execrable, resembling camel dung (as I imagine it) in flavor. When I was younger, my favorite cigarettes were Balkan Sobranies, British and very pricey. Ordinarily, though, I would smoke Camels, for a rather mellow blend of Turkish and Virginia tobacco. I quit smoking several years ago, though, and was not paying much attention to smoking habits in Paris. What sort of thing do you have in mind?
