I know that. I probably would have voted against this if I were the turkish parlaiment. All I am trying to point out is that the turkish *stock market* is going to go up if they get the cash regardless of the lt consequences to turkey. It doesn't mean capitalists in Turkey think this was a good lt play or anything... well, its questionable because of course Turkey is worried about SH but they are probably more worried about repercussions against their nation if they take sides with the US. Just guessing here. Irrespective of that, we as a nation can't go around spending our entire budget on stuff like this. People are either on your side or they are not. Paying people to "do the right thing" never works.
