"A good statesman attacks the problem, not people. A good statesman makes sure that he works towards the solution in every possible way, not letting his personal feelings, emotions make the situation worse. A good statesman puts the benefit of his people before his own need to pour out his venom."

Again, those words were made shortly after 9/11. America had been ruthlessly attacked. Thousands of Americans were slaughtered. There was more than one trillion dollars damage to the economy from the attack & perhaps another trillion in the aftermath. It was clear we were no longer safe. The time had come to act decisively & to NOT mince words with terrorists & those who harbor, support &/or supply them. It was time to send a clear message globally.

That's what Bush did.

It was NOT a time to play diplomatic word games with rouge leaders. It was time to send a clear warning & see who our enemies are & where they are & to find out who is going to stand up to these thugs & take clear action to stop them.

How many more terrorist acts do we need to suffer here before we get serious? Bush decided that one was one too many.

I'm in agreement with him on this.
