Actually back in the late 70's when NG was selling for $10.00 they built skid mounted fertilizer plants that were placed near NG fields both onshore and offshore in remote areas and produced anhydrous ammonia for shipment back to the states.

I suspect if NG prices stay in the $10.00 range we will see it happen again.

I financed the construction of several of these plants for N-ReN Corporation a long time ago. When NG fell back got to $10.00 the domestic plants went bankrupt from the high NG price.
