1 MMbtu = 1 million British Thermal Units, a measure of heat energy. (M=1000 X M=1000)=1,000,000. 1 MMbtu = approx. 1 Mcf (1000 cubic feet) depending on the amount of liquids in the gas. Someone recently posted the btu content vs. various NGL contents. $5 gas means $5 per MMbtu, formally priced in $ per 1000 cubic feet, but changed to MMbtu to more accurately reflect the energy content of the gas. Storage is measured in cubic feet, billions, trillions or such.
